I have always loved jewelry in nearly every form and
began making my own designs over 10 years ago. Back
then it was beads, wire and knots only. I became
restless with the limits these methods imposed and
enrolled in jewelry making classes at Pratt Fine Arts
Center in Seattle, WA. I studied fabrication, casting,
knitting and enameling and became somewhat of a
fixture at Pratt, cleaning studios to pay for extra
classes. After an unexpected lay-off in April of 2004,
I printed up some business cards and hit the shops to
see if I could turn my hobby into a budding business.
My work is now featured in many NW bouitques.
My style is all over the map and I enjoy working with
many different mediums. I like the idea of jewelry as
a compliment and enhancer of personal style. I eschew
the fussy and overtly feminine in favor of clean lines
and bold colors and shapes. |
