She studied Mechanical Engineering before realizing that her interest in "how things work" would be better satisfied in a more creatively aesthetic mode -- jewelry and metalsmithing. Through hand forging and fabrication, her designs result in jewelry that embodies a sculptural presence. Amenda's works strike a chord that resonates a fine balance of opposites: organic/mechanical, natural/processed, predictable/unexpected. Her work is individually crafted one piece at a time in her Denver, Colorado studio.
